Associated Press Graphics produced hundreds of news graphics as part of a preparation package for the Iraq war. Maps, diagrams, explainers of military hardware and tactics, profiles and timelines were all prepared and ready to go prior to the beginning of hostilities.

This massive preparation readied our staff (and our members) for the terminology, geographies and challenges of the coverage that followed.
