360@stonehopper features a daily 360-degree panoramic photo taken around the world. I've taken these since 1997, and now use a circular fisheye lens on a Canon 50D to take three images in rapid sequence, which I stitch together using special software and view using Flash or QuickTime.
These images, or panos, immerse the viewer in an environment unlike any other medium. Combined with sound and interactive elements, panos can be a powerful way to convey once-in-a-lifetime events.
